Functions

NUAC offers recommendations and advice to the President with respect to the establishment and implementation of policy for the democratic peaceful unification of Korea.

Article 2 of the Act on the National Unification Advisory Council

Article 2 (Function) The National Unification Advisory Council shall offer recommendations and advice to the President with respect to the establishment and implementation of policy for democratic peaceful unification of Korea by providing the following functions.

  1. Collection of domestic and overseas public opinion with respect to the unification of Korea.
  2. National agreement on the unification of Korea
  3. Collection of pan-national will and capabilities with respect to the unification of Korea
  4. Other matters required for providing advice and recommendation with respect to the President's peaceful unification policy
